About us
St. Theresa`s Family Centre is a voluntary organisation that is part funded by Sure Start First Steps. We are staffed by a dedicated team with experience of life and family matters. There is also a small group of volunteers who help and support our work. We provide a creative nurturing environment where families are treated with equality and respect

The Family Centre is open all year round, Mondays from 9.30am to 1.30pm and Tuesdays to Fridays from 10.30am to 1.30pm. The centre offers a variety of activities for children, parents and carers, providing the opportunity for adults and children to learn and have fun together.

Activities for children
We have regular weekly activities that include :

  • Children's Cooking
  • Crafts and messy play
  • Singing Sessions
  • Physical Fun and Imagination Play

We’ll also celebrate with you significant dates such as children’s birthdays and can even arrange a cake and party!

Programmes for parents and carers
Parenting isn't always easy and we can provide programmes on a range of subjects that can help.
These include :

  • Positive Parenting
  • Assertiveness
  • Relationship Advice
  • Anger Management

Families that attend St. Theresa's will also be able to take part in various trips on offer throughout the year.

Costs
It is free, so drop in and see us anytime. On occasions we may tempt you with one of our cooked breakfasts or lunches, for this there will be a very small charge.

We also have a very popular Thrift Shop with good quality children’s clothing and nursery goods for sale at a fraction of the price that they would cost new.
